Most of the northern part of Molash was known as the Manor Of Bower, alias Flemings, owned by a John de Flemming, before the time of King Henry VI. It has rolling valleys and woodlands, one close by, called Kings Wood, is where King John used to come and hunt deer and wild boar (deer still habitate the woods today). Molash is one of the pretty places in The Kentish North Downs.
Eastwell Manor, as seen here, lies between Molash and Ashford and is very old and grand - the Romonoffs lived there and Queen Victoria was a frequent visitor. It lies on the A251. |
